SEIU Healthcare is proud to welcome workers at Glen Hill Terrace Long-Term Care in Whitby to our union.
This unit of more than 70 healthcare workers voted 100% in favour of unionizing. Now, they are connected to more than 60,000 healthcare workers in our fight for better working conditions and improvements to our healthcare system.
They voted YES for SEIU Healthcare to improve staffing levels, earn better wages, and gain more respect in the workplace.
We will be fiercely advocating for their first collective agreement that provides all that and more for these deserving frontline workers. During the pandemic, it is more important than ever, that our union continues to organize workers and continues to grow. We are stronger together, and united will win!
As we all know, the long-term care system and the entire healthcare system has been drastically impacted during these unprecedented times.
We must continue to band together to demand better for frontline workers, for patients/residents/clients, and to keep our communities safe.
