  • CarePartners workers earn just above minimum wage for critical healthcare work with no means to stay home when sick.
  • Ontario’s homecare system is already stretched thin and will only worsen if conditions don’t improve.

1. What’s Happening at the Bargaining Table

CarePartners workers are done waiting. Management continues to stall and refuses to fix the basics:

  • UNPAID HOURS/LOW WAGES – Workers giving away their time for free while CarePartners profits.
  • No paid sick days – Workers forced to choose between their health and client safety.
  • Travel time barely paid – Driving 30 minutes, paid for 10.
  • Minimum wage for required training – Skills and dedication devalued.
