Earlier this week, the Ford Government announced an overhaul of Ontario’s homecare system. They did not consult with any frontline workers, and the reforms appear to have been written behind closed doors by greedy agency executives who are more interested in profits than personal support workers or nurses. We told the Ford government again just this week that any reform that doesn’t directly support workers will be strongly opposed by SEIU Healthcare. Today, we’re asking you, the frontline healthcare workers who were once again sidelined from any input prior to the overhaul, to take action and speak up about this.
