On Monday, September 2, 2019, over 200 SEIU Healthcare members joined SEIU Healthcare’s leadership and staff as they marched down the streets of Toronto to make our way down to the Canadian National Exhibition Place.
Members brought their children, family, and friends to continue supporting the fight for justice in all our workplaces! There were over 20,000 labour workers who joined the parade! Together we marched, danced, and waved our flags. Members were also able to enjoy the CNE on the last day it was open!
There were also events held in Barrie, Brantford, Brockville, Goderich, Hamilton/Oakville, Kingston, London, Lindsay, Niagara/St. Catharines, North Bay, Ottawa, Peterborough, Sarnia, Thunder Bay, and Waterloo. SEIU Healthcare was present at many of these events! We were very happy to celebrate Labour Day with our members across Ontario! We hope to see everyone again next year.
