2020 has been an unprecedented and difficult year for everyone, but we know it’s been especially tough for you as you battle COVID-19 on the frontlines of healthcare each day.

Despite the difficult year, we couldn’t be prouder of all our members who have stepped up and showed Ontario the true healthcare heroes they are. We are proud to represent you and appreciate the hard work, dedication and compassion you have for your profession and the people you care for.

To celebrate the work you’ve done this year and show our appreciation, we are hosting a MASKuerade Concert on Saturday, December 12. This will be a family-friendly event full of music provided by Soul Sessions, a group of local musicians and singers from across Ontario. Check out the video below to get a small taste of what you can expect. The night will also be full of messages and announcements from surprise guests, giveaways, and more! You’re not going to want to miss it.

To help support our MASKuerade theme, we are asking you to send us a picture of you and/or your family wearing your most stylish, creative, funny or interesting face masks so we can show them off during the event. Please send your photos to communications@seiuhealthcare.ca

Registrants will be emailed a special link prior to the event, which will also be streamed on Facebook. We will also be offering the option of a special ZOOM Watch Party, where you can be on camera with your SEIU Healthcare Family, dress up as you would for an in-person gala, and chat with each other throughout the evening.

After the positive feedback you gave us following our digital children’s Halloween event, we are excited to announce that on December 17, we will be hosting a Children’s Pajama Party on Zoom!

This will be a fun, interactive event full of games, giveaways and more! As the name of the event suggests, we encourage both you and your children to dress up in pajamas – whether they are holiday themed, a onesie, or just your typical every-day pajamas, we want you to show them off!

As part of the event, we are asking you and your children to submit a holiday message, either through a drawing or video, to your SEIU Healthcare Family. We want to see and hear how you celebrate this time of year. You can do that by clicking here.
